It seems that the question that immediately came to mind when you landed this role was: “Are you sure you want me?” »
Raymond Lee : I had never been offered a project of this scale! The simple idea of seeing my name plastered on a wall or on a billboard… I couldn't believe it. This proposal came out of nowhere. I couldn't believe it and I was very happy! I waited a bit before accepting, because you should never make such an important decision on a whim.
“Skin color or origin has no importance in this science fiction world”
What do you feel when you become, for the first time, the hero of a series?
Growing up, and then when I started in this industry, there were few people who looked like me and who I could draw inspiration from. That I can perhaps serve as a role model for another generation humbles and honors me. I feel like skin color or origin doesn't matter in this science fiction world where anything is possible. This is the realm of fantasy and imagination.
Your character, Dr. Ben Song, finds himself in the shoes of different people, even a woman. What was the hardest thing for you to play?
Wear high heels! (Laughs) I've done a lot of sports, so it's not a problem for me to box or shoot physical scenes. But the heels… I haven't gotten used to them yet!
