After the exceptional floods and floods of Thursday October 17 which caused considerable damage in the Loire, the Rhône and the Ardèche, the sun returned… perhaps not for long.
“The weather models are becoming worrying for the weekend with a risk of a Cévenol/Mediterranean episode in the region and the south of France,” reports Météo Pilat 42.
“Very disturbed rainy-stormy weather in the south-east”
According to certain maps and weather forecasts, the risk of a new major episode is possible.
“At altitude, a cold drop (or “cut-off”) will form southeast of the Iberian Peninsula from Thursday evening to Saturday morning. This phenomenon, a bubble of cold air in a warmer environment, will cause very disturbed rainy-stormy weather in the south-east”, analyzes Yann Amice, meteorologist, withactu.fr.
“The deadline is far away, but we are monitoring the situation closely”
Concerns shared by the Weather Channel.
From Thursday, a trough could attempt to cross France before isolating itself as a cold drop in the Mediterranean, with new risks of bad weather in the south-east of France. The deadline is distant, but we are closely monitoring developments.
“If nothing improves in about two days, unfortunately, we will probably have to expect a third episode of intense rain in just three weeks! », warns Météo Pilat 42.
