– Between 50,000 to 100,000 frs, the large mass 1000 frs.
– No cent of the money must come from state coffers
– Pastef wants a show of force this Saturday

Pastef has decided to hold a major mobilization this Saturday, October 19 at Dakar Aréna for a fundraiser intended to finance its electoral campaign for the legislative elections on November 17. The call for mobilization was launched yesterday by the President of this ruling party, Ousmane Sonko, who asks his activists and supporters to give him and his allies an overwhelming majority on the evening of November 17.

Pastef announces the big mobilization for this Saturday, October 19 at Dakar Aréna. The president of this party currently in power, Ousmane Sonko, gave yesterday through a message on social networks the broad outlines of this mobilization which will trigger the fundraising process or fund raising in the language of Shakespeare. Ousmane Sonko was clear towards Pastef activists.

Continuing the concept launched by Jub, Jubbanti and Jubal, there will be no question of taking a single cent from the state coffers to finance Pastef’s campaign. As in the past, activists will have to go out of their own pockets to set up their party’s campaign budget. This is how the president of the party asked that ministers and general directors, chairmen of boards of directors contribute up to one million francs. The other categories, especially executives, will contribute between 50,000 to 100,000 francs. The large mass is subject to a contribution of 1,000 francs.

Sympathizers and ordinary Senegalese were invited to join in this great political adventure of the Patriots. The same formula will be applied at the level of the departments and the Diaspora. Next Saturday’s meeting should be a moment of demonstration of force by Pastef, according to President Ousmane Sonko. The one whose other hat is Prime Minister above all wants PASTEF activists to show national and international opinion their capacity for mobilization to complete the victory of March 24 by an overwhelming majority in the National Assembly.

Ousmane Sonko recalls that if they already have the Executive through the Presidency and the Government, the Legislative has so far eluded them. However, the latest political upheavals of the BBY majority in the National Assembly demonstrate that total possession of power requires an unequivocal majority in the National Assembly. This could allow the establishment of the High Court of Justice, which is essential so that accountability can be possible. Especially since he demonstrated during his press conference on September 26, in his capacity as Prime Minister, the makeup of public finances concerning in particular the budget deficit and the level of debt.

The president of Pastef also magnified all the work done over nearly 6 months by the new power. Questions in various areas of dispossession remain to be resolved, particularly in terms of land dispossession, the illegal sale of gold, etc.

According to him, the directions taken for nearly 6 months are a rigorous application of candidate Diomaye Faye’s profession of faith. A process which was enriched by contact with the reality of power which allowed them to know it better but above all to access crucial information. According to Ousmane Sonko, everything that has been done so far by the regime of President Diomaye Faye is not improvisation. It is a transformation agenda for Senegal structured around three axes such as Vision 2050, the Master Plan 2034 and the Five-Year Plan. This transformation agenda will now be oriented towards a communication phase for appropriation by all Senegalese of the transformation, indicated the boss of Pastef.

According to him, it is an ambitious and achievable program, if all Senegalese adhere to this vision. “Only this will require control by the National Assembly to control government action and accountability. “The Senegalese must then give us an overwhelming majority on November 17. We congratulate the PASTEF activists who have shown patriotism for the sole interest of Senegal. Anyone who is not invested should not be moved by this. We congratulate the activists who understood our signal because we have zero protests as we approach our 6th political campaign and our 3rd legislative election. Our journey has been long, but this fund raising will be successful and we hear a commitment from all the activists. It is not because we are in power that we are going to change our approach. The question of financing political parties will be addressed further through reforms. A great moment of debate on fundraising, on the political situation, on the political allies who decided to support Pastef. No more hidden financing of electoral campaigns with funds that are considered money laundering,” promised President Sonko.
