Aith more than six decades of career, Naima Lamcharki began her artistic life in the 1960s. Her first major role, “Casablanca, nest of spies” (1963), opened the doors to a brilliant career. She continued with “Blood Wedding” (1977), an adaptation of the play of the same name by Federico García Lorca. Her performance in “In Search of My Wife’s Husband” (1993) earned her the Best Actress in a Leading Role award at the Tangier National Film Festival in 2001. Naima Lamcharki has continued to enrich her filmography with notable works such as “44 ou les Récits de la nuit” in 1985 and “Lalla Hobby” in 1996.

In July 2012, Naima Lamcharki was made an Officer of the Order of National Merit, a distinction which highlights her role in promoting Moroccan culture. His talent has also been celebrated on the international stage. In 2021, the deceased received the Best Actress award at the Malmö Arab Film Festival in Sweden for her role in “The Autumn of Apple Trees” by Mohamed Mouftakir.

Naima Lamcharki’s departure leaves a huge void in the artistic world, but her cinematic legacy will continue to shine and inspire future generations.
