The music video for the rapper’s tribute to his daughter Hailie Jade Mathers is filled with old and new home movies
Eminem released a new music video for his song “Temporary,” filled with old home movies, as well as a few new ones, including a clip in which the rapper learns he’s going to be a grandfather.
“Temporary” appears on Eminem’s latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)released in July. Last month, he released an expanded version of the album featuring a new sketch and three additional tracks, including a new version of the song “Fuel” and the track “Kyrie and Luka” featuring 2 Chainz.

Eminem started to unfold The death of Slim Shady earlier this year, launching a campaign centered around – as the album title suggests – the death of his alter ego Slim Shady. For example, he published a fake obituary for Slim in the Detroit Free Pressmourning the character’s “tortured existence”. And he also brought a chainsaw to his alter ego at the end of the music video for “Tobey” (which also featured Detroit rappers Big Sean and BabyTron).
Eminem also shared clips for Slim Shady’s Death the first single, “Houdini,” as well as “Somebody Save Me,” his collaboration with Jelly Roll. Em also performed both songs at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
