Where was Platform 2 filmed on Netflix?
The filming of Platform 2 took place largely at a single site, in Bilbao, Spain. Principal photography began on May 6, 2023 and concluded on July 11, 2023. The team maintained a high level of secrecy around filming and consisted of a large number of stunt performers.
The cast and crew appear to have had a great time behind the scenes, with lead actress Milena Smit trying out some cutting-edge equipment on set. The BEC is a large complex often used for trade shows, exhibitions and concerts. It can also become a filming location after obtaining permission from its organizers, providing support through its audiovisual infrastructure. Part of the building was used to create the set for the Netflix film.
Led by production designer Azegiñe Urigoitia, the team made efficient use of their allocated space in the BEC, transforming it into the dystopian, featureless prison of the Well.
