BULKA (3): saved twice by his uprights but beaten four times in the end, which had never happened to him in Nice, the Pole, like his teammates, experienced a very complicated evening. Especially since the refereeing did not help him with this very light penalty conceded.
YOUSSOUF (3): author of a saving comeback in front of Pedro, he completely missed his defensive intervention to allow Castellanos to double the lead. Less impactful than usual in duels, the rock cracked.
BOMBITO (3): between Pedro’s experience and Castellanos’ perfect calls, the task was not easy. Hazardous in his placement, uninspired in his tackles and less radiant in the air, the Canadian missed out on his second European match.
DANTE (5): if he experienced a 3rd defeat against Lazio under the Nice colors, he was the only one not to completely sink into a hinge in distress and in great pain on set pieces.
CLAUSS (5): a good technical understanding with Bouanani to bring danger to his right lane, even if his rare crosses did not find takers. Rather applied defensively, except on the 3rd Roman goal, where he leaves too much freedom to Castellanos. Replaced by Abdi (68’).
ROSARIO (4): Castellanos plays him far too easily on the 3rd Roman goal. Overall, he struggled to exist in the midfield. He may also regret this touch of the ball that was too long as he arrived launched into the Roman area. Replaced by DIOP (77’).
BOUDAOUI (6): he gave a lot of effort to recovery but also to support Nice’s offensive situations. His body play makes him difficult to read for his counterparts and he has therefore suffered a lot of fouls. A full match that he could have made better by framing his shots. Replaced by NDOMBELE (68’).
LATCH (4): in great difficulty at the start of the match at the left piston position, he held on to his courage, notably delivering some interesting crosses. But he was also logically able to measure the steps he still has to take, at just 21 years old.
BOUANANI (4): stirring, he lit the first fuse of Nice but Mandas went to bed. Interesting in the short game, he has not always been impeccable in his
defensive work, like on this corner where he lets Castellanos mark. He gave way to GIVE (68’).
MOUKOKO (4): he had little influence in the first half until this perfect delivery for Boga in the heart of the area. To his credit, a good recovery in the second half too, but the overall performance remains quite dull in the end.
have (5): he recalled the good memories of his five years in Italy by reducing the gap with a beautiful half-volley cross at the end of a first half where he struggled to express himself. The terrible weather conditions did not help him, like the other offensive players, to show more in the second half. Replaced by GUESSAND (68′), the best of the entrants.
