Cast off and set sail for the 2024 Science Festival!
This year again, the Science Festival will invite researchers and citizens to come together around the pleasure and sharing of science! Researchers, technicians, engineers, teachers, mediators, facilitators, etc. came together to carry out nearly 300 actions throughout the Centre-Val de Loire region.
For more than 30 years, the Science Festival has been a moment of meeting and sharing that highlights research, technological innovation and science mediation initiatives to a wide audience.
2024 is placed under the theme “Ocean of knowledge,” a theme which resonates with current events and which is part of the Year of the Sea.
The theme allows us to address the fundamental role of the oceans for life on Earth. Among all the actions proposed, you will be able to discover, among other things, its biodiversity and its role in climate regulation. Beyond the maritime, the theme is an invitation to expand the horizon of our scientific knowledge and experience the extent of all knowledge.
Find in the region multiple experiences, demonstrations, exhibitions, conferences, visits, activities, shows… as well as science villages bringing together many actors. This festive event is an opportunity to better understand the importance of active research which contributes to the challenges of our society.
It is also an opportunity for younger people, who are curious, interested or keen to get involved in scientific fields, to question stakeholders about research and innovation professions.
