Terry’s Chocolate arrives exclusively at Carrefour

English eccentricity comes to Carrefour with Terry’s Chocolate. Rather unknown in , it is an English brand launched in the 18th century and today present in the portfolio of the Carambar & Co group (Carambar, Lutti, Poulain, Krema). Already marketed in 9 countries, it will be available in France in mid-October exclusively in around 200 Carrefour points of sale.

Terry’s Chocolate offers -shaped chocolates made up of 20 detachable segments to share (or not). Two references are included in the launch: milk chocolate; milk chocolate and natural orange flavor (the brand’s iconic recipe in England). SRP: €2.89 per 145g ball.

Note that a real ritual exists behind the product: that of hitting the chocolate ball to detach the quarters. A tradition during the end of year celebrations in the United Kingdom. Consumption of these chocolates explodes during Christmas with an average of 6 “balls” sold per second over the period. Annually, Terry’s Chocolate sells approximately 66 million units.

A “so British” highlight

« We are very proud to announce the launch of the iconic Terry’s Chocolate brand in France and I warmly thank the Carrefour teams for their involvement in setting up this exclusive collaboration which will allow the most gourmand French people to discover the inimitable Terry’s ritual Chocolatesaid Albane de La Neuville, chocolate marketing director at Carambar & Co. We are fortunate to have within our group a brand whose unique and eccentric universe reflects the spirit of innovation and indulgence of Carambar & Co. »

The arrival of Terry’s Chocolate in the relevant stores should not go unnoticed. Carrefour and the Carambar & Co group have joined forces to deploy an atypical system in stores, designed to emphasize the “unique consumption ritual” of the product. On the menu, punch machines on the shelves to practice hitting the ball, as tradition dictates across the Channel. Boxes in the colors of the United Kingdom, balloons, entertainment with English guards and tastings complete the program.
