The Director General of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), Fadilou Keïta, made important revelations concerning the 94 billion CFA francs affair, affirming that this file will be studied again. During his appearance on the RFM Grand Jury program this Sunday, Fadilou Keïta clarified that this affair linked to public money will be dusted off to restore transparency.
As a reminder, this case concerns land title TF1451/R and implicates the former director of the estates, Mamour Diallo. The current Prime Minister of Senegal, Ousmane Sonko, had filed a complaint for alleged embezzlement of 94 billion CFA francs against Mamour Diallo.

According to the report from the National Office for the Fight against Fraud and Corruption (Ofnac), the investigations made it possible to confirm almost all the grievances raised by Ousmane Sonko. The report mentions that several irregularities in the compensation procedures could indicate an attempt by the officials involved to maximize their profits for the SOFICO and CFU companies.
The facts noted in this case could constitute serious offenses, in particular criminal conspiracy, fraud and attempted fraud involving public funds, according to the articles of the Penal Code. The reopening of this file therefore revives debates on the management of public funds and transparency in Senegal.
