For this new issue of the season, he notably received Henry-Jean Servat who published the work “Bardot, the legend” on the occasion of the 90th birthday of this true icon.
“Commando operations across Europe”
On the set of C8, the journalist and columnist, who worked for nearly fifteen years on France 2 in “Télématin”, said: “I was lucky that Bardot took me several times on commando operations across Europe. After the fall of the Ceaușescu regime, we went to Romania… We went to dog killing sites, to dog pounds… Brigitte, she went in there, she took dogs, she brought back to Saint-Tropez in the small private plane… We slept on the roads in Italy to prevent the trucks transporting horses from Ukraine which were taking them to the slaughterhouses in Bari. Do you know a movie star who lies down to make trucks stop?“.
Having difficulty hiding his emotions, the one who is a close friend of actress Brigitte Bardot continued: “With Bardot, I waded through blood, mud, shit, to defend animals, to save them from lots of things like that. Sorry… What she did was extraordinary. So if she says things that I don’t agree with, I don’t really care. There is such energy, there is such a desire to take the animals out…“

Faced with the evening columnists, including Gilles Verdez, Juliette Briens and Bernard Montiel, Henry-Jean Servat did not fail to make it known: “It’s not possible! I am committed to animals… Brigitte is not looking for anything, she is not looking for publicity, she is not looking for glory. She wants us to stop bothering the animals! And I find that there is an armada of people, of fans and I hope that there are people all around – I am sure there are – who are animal rights activists, who are fight to defend animals. I think it’s great!“
