Australian Open > Mats Wilander on Novak Djokovic's start to the tournament: “For someone like him, it's not at all important to play well, it's just important not to spend four or five hours on the short”

At the microphone ofEurosportthe seven-time Grand Slam winner, Mats Wilander, gave his opinion on the somewhat laborious entry into the running of Novak Djokovic against the American hope Nishesh Basavareddy (107e world).

“He’s a Novak who can go far. He must be playing a lot better than in the first set and a half, but I think he was a little surprised too. But for someone like him, it's not at all important to play well, it's just important to pass and not spend four, five hours on the court. In the end, he served brilliantly, he moved brilliantly. He never seemed tired, he's a Novak Djokovic who can win the tournament, that's for sure. But it’s dangerous to lose the first set against the best players, so he has to be a little sharper from the start.”
