Jannik Sinner was on display this Wednesday at the Rod Laver Arena to beat Alex De Minaur and reach the final four in Melbourne.

The world No. 1 has gained momentum before his semi-final on Friday against Ben Shelton, where he will be favorite.

And at 23 years and 159 days, Sinner became the youngest player to reach the semi-finals of the Australian Open two years in a row since a certain Rafael Nadal.

The Majorcan had, in 2009, at the age of 22, reached this stage of the competition for the second year in a row, after a first semi-final lost in 2008 against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
