During an interesting interview given to the magazine EsquireJannik Sinner was questioned on many subjects and in particular on what he had learned the most during this remarkable 2024 season. And unsurprisingly, he pointed to his progress on the tactical aspect.

“Tactics. This is important because it can allow you to adjust a match that is not going well. When Simone Vagnozzi arrived in my team, he gave me seven to eight pieces of information per match. Honestly, I didn't understand anything. He told me: 'From time to time, you make a slice'. But I didn't know how to do it, so we made a lot of changes. It's a shot that I don't do correctly technically, because I hold the racket with both hands. However, I feel more confident with this shot. Simone is good because we talk a lot and he doesn't impose rules on me. He asks me to be more fluid and have the right distance. Hitting the ball the right way also means spending less energy. »
