It couldn't be otherwise. Undisputed world number 1 of the year 2024, Jannik Sinner ended his exceptional season with a Davis Cup title.

For the last match of his season, the Italian dominated Tallon Griekspoor to allow his country to win this competition for the second time in a row.

Sinner finished the year with 73 singles wins and just 6 losses. With a success percentage of 92.41%, this is the ninth highest total in the Open era.

He won nine tournaments (including the Davis Cup), opening his Grand Slam account with his successes in Australia and New York.

Sinner does as well as Federer

A sign that his year is more than complete, the 23-year-old became the second player in the 21st century to achieve a very specific performance.

Indeed, Sinner is, after Roger Federer in 2005, the second player since the 2000s to win at least one set in all his matches played this season.

In a record-breaking year, he also won the ATP Finals and three new Masters 1000s.

Jannik Sinner will, more than ever, be the man to beat in 2025. The year will start with a bang as he will have to defend his title points at the Australian Open.
