Always so gifted in the sometimes complex exercise of farewells and tributes, Novak Djokovic once again wanted to express himself about the greatest rival of his career, Rafael Nadal, following the latter's official retirement.

Comments made during a very beautiful video published by the ATP in tribute to the Spanish champion in which many athletes take part.

“Rafa will leave us an incredible legacy. His achievements, historically speaking, are incredible. His tenacity, his intensity, the energy he always showed on the court, from the first match to the last. He is probably the most intense player, in a positive sense, that we have ever seen. His combativeness is unmatched. My best Rafa story, on a private level, is probably that afternoon I saw him dancing in Colombia in 2011, when we played an exhibition match together. On a professional level, it was when he let me beat him for the first time at Roland Garros. Thank you, Rafa (smiles). »
