As he takes office as Elena Rybakina's new coach from the start of the 2025 season, Goran Ivanisevic gave an interview to Majors to come back to this surprise collaboration, but not only that.

After deciding between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz and explaining that Alexander Zverev was still a step below, the Croatian coach was inevitably questioned about the average season of his former foal, Novak Djokovic, despite his coronation at the Olympic Games .

“I can't know if he is motivated and to what extent, but the moment he decides to play, it means he is eager to play. Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are clearly above the rest, but I put Novak in the same group as them. When Novak really wants to play, he is still the best in the world, in my opinion. The other thing is how much he wants to play and when – we saw it in the Olympics… If he steps on the court like that, he can still win a Grand Slam. It also depends on his ranking and the draw, when he should face Sinner or Alcaraz, a lot of factors, but can Novak do it? Yes, he can. You should never rule it out, I would never do that. And good for me, I won't have to support Novak, I can remain his fan, unless he switches to women's tennis! »
