On Saturday, Mayot lost in the semi-finals in Mouilleron against Lucas Pouille 6-4, 6-1. “He immediately tried to find out how to get out of Roanne so that I could return. For this, he had to drive at night after his match to retire before the start of qualifying. He arrived here around 1 a.m. » Chidekh told the team. By making this move, he allowed Chidekh to enter the main draw, while forfeiting his prize money.

Clément Chidekh added : “In a period when many are wondering what the solutions are for better results in French tennis, I think that solidarity between French players is an undervalued area and on which other countries are doing better than us. » A gesture which therefore honors Harold Mayot who will despite everything still be at the gates of the Top 100 this Monday.
