Fortnite: the shoes are arriving with a firm foot, but players are already stamping their fists over their prices

When Epic Games is making a good change, it must be welcomed and this is generally the case regarding the Fortnite Club which will be more complete than ever without a price increase, no offense to the many smart people who are complaining because they will no longer be able to benefit from a permissive system which made it possible, for example, to obtain skins two months and the Battle Passes of just as many seasons via a single purchase made at the right time. On the other hand, when the company does anything in terms of pricing in its store, it must also be highlighted and this is the case nowto believe that the timing was consciously chosen to limit negative feedback. In fact, we announced to you the arrival of shoes in Fortnitewhich was originally scheduled for November 12 via update 32.10. This was not the case due to visual concerns.

It is now this Friday, November 22 that they will appear in stores following patch 32.11 scheduled for this Thursday after the 10:00 a.m. maintenance and, in addition their more than questionable usefulness in terms of personalization since we rarely see our character’s feet (who necessarily already have them, except for those who are barefoot), it is above all their pricing which has made more than one jump.

Generally, the skins are displayed between 800 and 1500 V-Bucksa differentiation not helped since the removal of rarities last April, especially when there is no back accessory, pickaxe or other element included logically increasing the bill. Well, after the car chassis, whose prices were crazy at launch and which were subsequently lowered (although still quite expensive for some), and the construction kits LEGO also sold at prohibitive prices (they are becoming rare), know that these virtual shoes will be offered between 600 and 1,000 V-Bucks for the few models already revealed. This is significantly more than the range of other accessories for our avatar, even more than musical instruments that are much larger and flashier in comparison. The fact that the most expensive ones are linked to very real brands is probably not a coincidence… Note also that THE Chewing slippers are almost identical to what the outfit is wearing Shark Pajamasthe price of which was 1,200 V-Bucks during his previous appearances. This clearly illustrates the concern with this pricing.

If the modeling of these pairs of Nike et Air Jordan seems great, it’s difficult to see anything other than advertising in addition to the fact that it hardly fits the aesthetics of the game, but it’s only our personal tastes that speak here. It is further recalled that 95% of skins will become compatible with by the beginning of next year and we are still curious to see the original creations that will be offered. Let’s all hope that they don’t eat up too many slots in the future. Passes. In passing, theemote aim my pumps visible in the video above will be offered by visiting the store by the end of the month.

Below you will find the list of the first pairs expected this month as well as their prices.

WHAT IS COMPATIBLE ?

Shoes are a unique cosmetic item that replaces shoes on compatible outfits. They will be compatible with over 500 existing outfits upon release, and should be compatible with over 95% of outfits by early 2025. Pre-existing shoes visible on outfits cannot be applied to other outfits. The shoes do not confer any competitive advantage and are not not usable in LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Save the World, on Dancing Mannequin and Player Reference devices in Creative Mode and UEFN or on LEGO and Fall Guys Designer Islands.

When purchasing a pair of shoes from the Item Shop, you can check which outfits in your locker are compatible with the shoes. You can also filter the outfits in your locker to only show those that are compatible with the shoes. Or you can check out the Fortnite Outfit and Shoe Compatibility page, which has the full list of currently compatible outfits.

If necessary, V-Bucks are for sale on Amazon and to the Fnac.
