Nintendo presented the Switch 2 in all its splendor on January 16, but the trailer for the first glance offered no details on third-party games that will come out on the portable game console. Recent leaks have suggested that ‘It would receive multiple portages of AAA games, including some of the titles for which the Xbox is known.
Today, Phil Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft in charge of the games, confirmed that the Switch 2 will be compatible with the Xbox games of the first part. Spencer spoke about it during an interview with Gametag Radio, in which he shared that Microsoft is “impatient” to offer support to Nintendo with games.
This follows the announcement of Xbox 2024 of the Xbox concerning the contribution of a wave of games on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch platforms. After that, Xbox was a great success with the PS5 port of Sea of Thievesthat Microsoft would have sold more than a million copies on the Sony platform in the space of four months after its release.
Although there is not yet confirmation, recent rumors have shared that the new Nintendo portable console will receive ports forFallout 4, Starfield, Diablo IVand jeu Call of Duty unrecognized Flight Simulator, et Halo : The Master Chief Collection. These portes could be announced during the Nintendo Direct event, scheduled for April 2, 2025.
