What is this promotion on connected ring?
The Samsung Galaxy Ring retails for €449 when it is released in summer 2024. It is available for sale on the Orange store at a price of €249. The reduction concerns all sizes.
What is this Samsung ring?
Samsung’s recent Galaxy Ring connected ring looks exactly like a classic ring. Made from titanium alloy, the accessory is discreet and thin, with 7 mm width, 2.6 mm thickness and only 3 g on the scale (for the largest size). The ring therefore manages to be discreet once on the finger and is not particularly annoying, even if you wear it all day. The Galaxy Ring is IP68 certified and benefits from 10 ATM waterproofing, so you can swim with it.
Unlike a connected watch, the Samsung ring logically has no screen and therefore no interactions. To use it, you will need to connect it to your Android smartphone via the Galaxy Wearable app and go through Samsung Health. While a smartwatch provides information instantly, the Galaxy Ring requires a smartphone to view your health data. The accessory is much more passive than a watch, which will not be to everyone’s taste. Once on your finger, however, you will be less stressed than with a smartphone or a Galaxy Watch, which can be a good thing for concentrating on your exercises.
-Is the Galaxy Ring a good deal for the sales?
200 € reduction is even an excellent deal, if you want the Samsung ring. When it comes to health and sports monitoring, the Galaxy Ring has numerous integrated sensors to measure your temperature, your heart rate, and even your blood oxygen level. The classics followed by sleep and stress, which are found on watches, are also present. The readings are overall very correct and have nothing to envy of the manufacturer’s watches. It’s a shame that the ring cannot detect a fall or initiate a call for help, essential functions today on other connected accessories.
Finally, its autonomy is approximately one week of use. The ring is accompanied by a charging case with a USB-C socket and compatible with Qi wireless charging by induction.
