During the Council of Ministers this Wednesday, January 22, 2025, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, focused on the follow-up to be given to the first edition of the Conference of Public Administrators and Managers (CAMP ). This major event, held on January 20, 2025, was hailed by the Head of State as a remarkable success, marking a decisive turning point in the modernization of the Senegalese administration.
The President congratulated the Prime Minister and the Minister, Secretary General of the Presidency, for the exemplary organization of this unprecedented conference. He also insisted on the importance of popularizing the recommendations resulting from the meeting, in particular the good practices identified by the control bodies and bodies. These practices, he specified, must be at the heart of efforts to improve public management in all its dimensions.
In his speech, the Head of State underlined the need to accelerate public service reforms and finalize the implementation framework for the 2022 law on the parapublic sector and the management of the State portfolio. . He asked the Prime Minister to ensure the establishment of strengthened governance in parapublic sector entities and strategic companies, by promoting generalized performance contracts and controlling the financial risks linked to these structures.
These orientations are part of Vision Senegal 2050, which aims for a profound and lasting transformation of public administration, aligned with national priorities and objectives. CAMP, by engaging public administrators and managers on innovative paths, marks a key stage in this dynamic.
