The rain and wind of recent hours have put an end to the episode of atmospheric pollution in the Arve valley. This Wednesday, January 22, the Haute-Savoie prefecture lifted the red vigilance in place since Monday, January 20.
-The Alpine valley, which extends to the communes of Sallanches, Cluses and Bonneville, has been affected by significant air pollution since January 16. At issue: emissions generated, among other things, by road traffic and individual wood heating.

The weather conditions of recent hours, marked by rain and wind, have reduced the concentrations of fine particles in the living area. The various restrictions put in place since Monday have therefore been lifted. However, air quality remains “average over a good part of the region”indicates Atmo in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This one is even still “degraded to poor in urban areas”.
Thus, orange alerts in the Rhône valley and in the Lyon Nord-Isère basin have also been lifted. But the air quality remains poor, particularly in Lyon and its nearby suburbs, according to Atmo readings.
