The Magic range is growing! After the convincing Magic 7 Lite and Magic 7 Pro, Honor has just formalized the marketing of its Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design in our region.

Like the previous Porsche Design models, this one presents itself as an improved and flashy version of the Honor Magic 7 Pro. Equipped with a 6.8-inch 120 Hz Amoled screen (2800 x 1280 pixels), the manufacturer promises vibrant images, even in direct sunlight, with a maximum brightness of 5000 cd/m² in HDR.

A smartphone as powerful as it is durable

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, present in the standard version of the Magic 7 Pro that we tested, ensures fast navigation, fluid games, and a smooth user experience. With a more generous 5850 mAh battery, compared to 5270 mAh for the classic Magic 7 Pro, the Porsche Design RSR should explode the meters in terms of autonomy.

The combination of its energy-efficient processor and good software optimization amazed us during our lab tests. In terms of charging, it's fast: up to 100 W wired or 80 W wireless, with accessories included.

A design that rolls mechanics

Inspired by the lines of the German firm's cars, the Honor Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design is distinguished by a symmetrical hexagonal photo block and a careful finish, available in two colors (Agate Gray and Provence), with a central edge recalling the aesthetic sports car hoods.

With a triple photo module composed of a 50 megapixel main sensor, a 200 Mpx telephoto lens and a 50 Mpx ultra wide-angle, the device promises to be just as versatile, and boosted with AI with different modes of captures (Harcourt portraits, action capture).

A more intuitive experience

The Honor Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design runs Android 15 via MagicOS 9.0, an interface designed to simplify everyday life thanks to artificial intelligence. Among the practical functions:

  • Magic Portal : rapid access to essential services.
  • Honor Notes : note-taking with automatic report generation.
  • Google Gemini : an AI assistant to organize your days.

For creatives, photo editing is enriched with intelligent tools like AI Eraser and AI Cutout, which retouch and crop photos with precision.

The Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design will be available in from February 15, 2025 at a price of €1,799. A price which underlines its ultra high-end positioning, while it will have to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which the South Korean giant will unveil on January 22.
