In the Eure, works of art scattered throughout this village

Of the paintings and sculptures at the media library, the town hall, but also at the florist, the baker or the butcher. Since the January 18 and until February 15, 2025the artistic journey is back in Thuit-de-l'Oison (Eure).

The Thuit-de-l'Oison festival committee and the municipality have set up this walk, which begins at the media library and continues to the merchants. The visit is from the outsidethe works are in the window.

This journey is a preamble to the 34th edition of the Painting and Sculpture Fairwhich will take place from February 1 to 9 in the Philippe Aubin village hall.

A local painter

The guest of honor of the show, for painting, will be Gaetan Jollywho resides in Thuit-Anger since 2017. Attracted to painting since childhood, he began to reproduce landscapes with dry pastels and pencils. After obtaining his PE teacher diploma in 2014, he returned to drawing in 2016. He rediscovered his passion by using graphite to create “mandala” animals, geometric designs based on circles. After making charcoal portraits, he used acrylic in 2019 and created his own creations inspired by pop and street art, animals and women's faces with expressive eyes.

A talented sculptor

The guest of honor in sculpture is Nadiejda Mouly. Born in Saint Petersburg, she completed her graphic arts studies in 1987. The same year, she organized her first personal exhibition at the Summer Garden in Saint Petersburg. She exhibits in Russia, Poland, Finland and Ukraine. Since 2003, she has lived in . She is a talented sculptor, and it was when she mentioned 3D painting to her students that the click came. Since then, she has created cardboard characters from her imagination. She varnishes them to resemble bronze, playing with light and shadow.

The organizers are counting on a large audience as usual to appreciate the work of the 35 talented artists, most of whom will be present at the show.

Entrance to the Show will be free and the exhibition will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on weekdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
