Éric Therry, the mayor (Se) of Asnières-sur-Oise (Val-d'Oise), presented his wishes to his constituents, Friday January 10, 2025, in the Josette-Jourde room.
Industrial wasteland
After the broadcast of a film on the town and a video report from the newspaper Le Figaro highlighting “The most beautiful villages of Île-de-France”, the elected official was delighted to obtain the first flower of the Villes et villages fleurs label for his commune. He then gave the results of the “Sophie the giraffe around the world” photo competition.
The winners of the Sophie la girafe photo competition
The City of Asnières-sur-Oise wanted to bring Sophie the giraffe back to life. The famous toy, formerly made in the town, was the subject of a photo competition, launched in May 2024, on the theme Sophie travels around the world. More than 1000 photos were received by the organizers. Several were published on the city's Instagram account. The winners of the competition are:
– Juliette Lefort for the best quality photo.
– Valérie Gentilini for the most unusual photo.
– Valérie Bourrin for the most original photo.
Accompanied by members of the municipal youth council, Éric Therry listed the achievements of 2024 before revealing the municipality's major projects for this new year. “Your daily life is played out in town halls,” recalled the Asnière councilor. This is where we concretely decide what is likely to improve your life. »
First stone
Thus, in 2025, on January 15 precisely, the City will lay the first stone for the rehabilitation of the former industrial wasteland south of Delacoste, renamed Domaine de la Moissette. “An ambitious project which will offer twenty-five quality apartments and nineteen activity cells,” explains Éric Therry.
-Work on the marsh house will also be launched this year as will the transformation of schoolyards into “oasis” classes.
As part of the Viarmes-Asnières multiple-use union (Sivom), the new indoor tennis court will open at the start of the school year in September and the synthetic football field will be operational in the last quarter of 2025.
Long-term projects
“Long-term” projects are also on the investment program: the development of Place Jules-Gautier, in Baillon, a new reception room, the Giboudet green corridor (it will connect the Toutville park to the village center without cross automobile traffic) and the study of the work to be carried out for the development of the Convert property.
Finally, temporary solutions will be put in place to reduce speed before permanent developments “in order to avoid unnecessary expenses”, adds the mayor.
