In 2024, there was a change at Samsung which integrated Oled panels from LG Display into some of its televisions. The 55S90D is therefore equipped with a panel identical to that of the LG 55C4! The reflectance is therefore the same at around 25%, and there is of course no bloomingbut the measurements differ very slightly on some aspects of colorimetry in particular, and the C4 remains overall better calibrated than its competitor. The S90D, however, remains under a Delta E of 3 and its colors are therefore considered to be completely accurate.
Their contrasts are obviously infinite thanks to Oled technology and their brightness in HDR is almost identical. LG nevertheless offers Dolby Vision compatibility that is more common than Samsung’s HDR 10+. Small advantage for C4 in this round, then.
