Announced last October in China, the Honor Magic 7 Pro is finally arriving in our region. With it, Honor aims for the top of the basket with an emphasis on AI – of course –the solidity of the device, but also on photography thanks to a zoom supported by AI.
The year 2025 is off to a flying start when it comes to smartphones. After OnePlus’ latest flagship, another Chinese manufacturer, formerly under the control of Huawei, presents its new flagship, the Honor Magic 7 Pro. A formalization ahead of that of Samsung, whose first 2025 event (Unpacked) is expected on January 22.
Magic 7 Pro with AI sauce
Like the OnePlus 13, the Honor Magic 7 Pro has everything that is doing the best for the moment on the premium market, with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence thanks in particular to the native integration of Google Gemini, the American giant’s generative AI.
There are also various features boosted by AI oriented towards productivity or simply communication – including AI Interpreter or AI Notes, but also various photo editing tools with artificial intelligence sauce, thanks to the “AI Honor Image Engine”.
Honor keeps up with its competitors and even manages to stand out somewhat thanks to a literally boosted zoom to AI – provided it is connected to the Internet, because the magic does not work natively on the device.

The Honor Magic 7 Pro is expected in January in Belgium, at the price of 1299 euros. A steep price, certainly, but unchanged compared to the previous model. However, combined with the fact that the Chinese manufacturer has skipped a standard version – no Magic 7 this year – and given its technical sheet, this smartphone shows all of Honor’s ambition to compete with the biggest in the sector, namely the most premium phones from Samsung and Apple.
Honor Magic 7 Lite
Beforehand, the Chinese manufacturer had announced the (very) accessible version of the Honor Magic 7 Pro, called Lite. Although lightweight, this phone stands out for its XXL autonomy thanks to its 6600 mAh battery, which allows it to last three days, according to the manufacturer.
“Users can enjoy 48.4 hours of music streaming and 25.8 hours of online video playback in just a single charge,” announces the press release.
In addition, it is also intended to be particularly resistant to falls and possible damage thanks to its “armor-level protective coating” and its “specialized safety coating”. As a result, the Honor Magic 7 Lite responds to the main reasons why consumers change smartphones: a battery that no longer lasts and hardware damage to the device, as Honor claims.
