Season 7 of Diablo IV is coming very soon and Blizzard wanted to make a big video on the new features expected for this new season. Good news for players, there will be a lot of them, and they can be discovered in a very fresh video with many details.

Diablo IV Season 7: a dark story of stolen heads

Someone has been stealing heads from the Whispering Tree, and it's up to players to find out who's behind it and what their goal is. This is the main pitch of this new story which will be available in Season 7 of Diablo IV.

The witches and wizards of Hawezar summon you! Unravel the mystery of the stolen heads and discover who is behind these misdeeds in an all-new series of quests, so you can access the secrets of witchcraft.

The good news is that stealing these heads will make many new features available which will bring more richness to the gameplay.

  • New demons : Face the putrephales, abominable adversaries born from the influence of the stolen heads, to win the favor of the Cabal, develop your powers and earn rewards, such as a sublimated spark.
  • New power : Harness a wide range of sinister, psyche, grow and wither powers to achieve unimaginable results. Discover and equip yourself with occult gems to increase these formidable powers tenfold.
  • New whispers : The disappearance of its hostages plunges the tree into a mad rage. Follow his whispers during headhunts and try to bring back the heads. This season, the tree could reward you with an Ancestral Collection, which guarantees you will obtain at least one Ancestral item.

Other new features expected in Season 7 of Diablo IV

A new Season also means new gameplay adjustments and new features to improve the interface or gameplay. Here is the list of known elements.

  • The Armory is coming. It will allow the saving of Diablo IV builds, as in Diablo III. The Armory lets you save, load, and name your favorite builds. Armory loadout slots are tied to the character with 5 loadout slots per character.
  • Blizzard introduces Headhuntsa new activity for Season 7. Headhunts will point you to a general area where you may be able to flush out a Headless Husk or Fugitive Head.
  • More than 20 powers will be available during Season 7.
  • Rootholds are micro-dungeons which are an additional way to hunt Headrotten, with bonus challenges and rewards.
  • If you manage to kill a putrephale possessed by a stolen head, you can use this head recovered from The Whispering Tree to earn occult gems.
  • Three new Runes arrive. Use these powerful sources of magic to perform dastardly deeds or enlightened benefits.
  • Of new legendary skins and unique items will obviously be there. We note, for example, a Mantle of Fury for the Barbarian or a unique amulet for the Druid which offers, among other things, 25% resistance to all elements.
  • The Tree of Whispers will offer new merchants and a new layout to make it a more efficient place to visit.
  • Upgrade an Eternal Character : Instantly upgrade an Eternal Realm character of your choice to level 50 to give them a powerful setup with a set of legendary items and a finalized skill tree, but also the unlocking of all altars of Lilith, 1 million gold coins, 1,000 obols and much more.
  • Class Quest Update : No need to complete class quests with each new character. Log in with a character whose class quests have been completed and they will be automatically validated for all new characters of the same class.
