AFB (non-profit company) is located at 3, rue de la Grande-Bretagne in Nantes, at the gates of Carquefou, since July 2020. “We were looking for a large location, with a warehouse, after our strong development during the Covid period, where people were forced to telework », says Jonathan Chollet, store manager.
The objective is twofold at AFB: to bring computer equipment back to life by reconditioning it, and to offer a new professional start to people with disabilities. All in a circular economy approach.
AFB Nantes employs twenty-five employees, including seventeen with disabilities. “We collect computer equipment from businesses and communities. We delete all data and provide companies with a report certifying the deletions. Then come the various checks and restoration. Everything is reconditioned on site », informs Jonathan Chollet.
AFB is riding the new trend in the second-hand market, which continues to grow. We can find PCs, smartphones, tablets and screens for sale, with brands like Dell, HP, Lenovo and Apple, all at competitive prices.
