Inversion for big air and halfpipe!
At the request of the International Ski Federation (FIS), which has increased on-site visits also with representatives of the French Ski Federation (FFS), a reversal of two events was requested. Thus, the big air – skiing and snowboarding – planned for Montgenèvre must migrate to Serre-Chevalier (which will also organize mogul skiing), at Casse de Boeuf, in the commune of La Salle-les-Alpes.
The halfpipe, also in skiing and snowboarding, was to take place at “Serre-Che” but the “half-pipe” must remain as hard as possible and there were fears on the part of the technicians at this altitude (1400 m), according to an expert. The halfpipe must therefore “go up” towards Montgenèvre, the resort which is also planned to accommodate skicross, snowboardcross and alpine snowboarding.
