Lexar presents its new products for photographers, videographers and gamers

Like every year, the electronics giants meet at CES in Las Vegas to present their new products. And Lexar, one of the leading brands in flash memory solutions, is taking the opportunity to unveil many new products for photographers, videographers and gamers.

Interviewed during a press presentation before summer 2024, the Professional Workflow docking station series finally makes its official appearance. Designed for experts and professionals, these two docking stations with two or six bays can accommodate different modules such as single or dual memory card readers and different models of SSD drives. The six-bay model is designed for the studio, with the two-bay portable version ideally suited for use in the field.

Lexar is also unveiling new memory cards including the Armor Gold SD card and two CFexpress 4.0 Type B cards in the Professional Diamond and Professional Gold families. The Armor Gold SD card is made of stainless steel, 37 times stronger than traditional SD cards and designed to withstand extreme outdoor use conditions. It offers a write speed of up to 210 MB/s and a speed class of V60, ideal for capturing 6K footage smoothly.

Designed to withstand temperatures, vibration, dust and shock, the new CFexpress 4.0 Type B cards offer very high performance and ultra-fast transfer rates with maximum read speeds of 3700 MB/s, write speed of 3400 MB/s for the Professional Diamond model and maximum read speeds of 3600 MB/s and write speeds of 3300 MB/s for the Professional Gold model. For all intents and purposes, Lexar specifies that these maximum transfer speeds are only achieved when these cards are used with a USB 4.0 card reader.

The players are not forgotten

Lexar also introduces the PLAY PRO microSD Express card for gaming on portable consoles. Equipped with PCIe technology, this card delivers read speeds of up to 900 MB/s for ultra-fast load times and write speeds of up to 600 MB/s, enabling accelerated downloads.

Lexar also presents ARES DDR5 CUDIMM memory, the next generation of memory for desktop computers. It offers speeds of up to 9600 MT/s and incorporates a Clock Driver IC (CKD) to prevent electronic interference and disruptions that can lead to errors, data loss or system crashes. Designed for AI-powered computers and high-performance systems, it promises faster downloads and improved refresh rates. And still within the framework of CES 2025,

Lexar announces the Lexar Professional NM1090 PRO SSD, promising impressive transfer rates with read speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 13,000 MB/s. new generation, featuring DRAM cache, will allow gamers to load their games 80% faster than the previous generation and will be available in capacities ranging from 1 to 4 TB.
