Alexis de GoriainoffCEO and co-founder of Sewan, shares for ChannelBiz his vision of the major trends in business telecommunications, the challenges facing SMEs and the opportunities offered by technologies such as AI and cybersecurity.
What are the main trends in the field of telecom for businesses?
Alexis de Goriainoff: Telecommunications is currently undergoing a major transformation, marked by several strong trends. First of all, traditional landline telephony is in decline, replaced by collaborative platforms like Microsoft Teams or Zoom. These tools bring together telephony, video conferencing and messaging, providing businesses with a unified experience. At the same time, there is growing adoption of all-mobile solutions, particularly among small and medium-sized businesses.
“The future of telecommunications requires convergence: all-mobile, UCaaS, and integrated cybersecurity. »
They are looking for simple but effective tools, integrating professional functionalities such as call management or electronic standards. Finally, companies are attaching increasing importance to cybersecurity. With the increase in cyberattacks, the protection of communications and data is becoming a priority issue. This requires providers to offer more robust and resilient solutions to meet these new challenges.
How does Sewan respond to UCaaS challenges and, more generally, to the technological simplification needs of companies?
We have adopted an integrated approach. Through SOPHIA, our central platform which offers our partners direct access to all of our services. Through this single interface, they can order, configure and manage services such as telephony, cloud or connectivity for their customers. SOPHIA was designed to streamline operations, whether for our partners or for the companies they support.
“With SOFIA, our partners can manage all services via a single, fluid and intuitive interface. »
Finally, our indirect white label sales model allows us to rely on a network of local partners who personalize our solutions according to the specific needs of their customers. This guarantees local service while benefiting from centralized infrastructure and technological tools.
How do AI and cybersecurity impact telecommunications?
AI is playing a growing role in improving telecom services. At Sewan, we have integrated AI into several of our products, including Record AI, a solution for call centers. This technology makes it possible to record conversations, transcribe them in real time and produce an automatic summary.
It is also capable of analyzing the “mood” of calls, which helps businesses better understand customer interactions and identify areas for improvement. We are also working on chatbots for our partners. These tools will be able to answer technical questions or guide users in their orders, while relying on a continually enriched knowledge base.
“Artificial intelligence is not an end in itself, but a lever to simplify and improve our services. »
On the cybersecurity side, we offer firewall solutions, EDR and XDR systems, as well as SOC services to monitor and protect our clients’ infrastructures. AI also plays a role here by helping detect and anticipate threats. However, cybersecurity is not limited to technology: it also involves user awareness. We help our partners support their customers on best practices, such as managing fraudulent emails or preventing ransomware attacks.
How does your indirect, white label sales model work?
The white label indirect sales model is at the heart of our strategy. It allows our partners to personalize and resell our services under their own brand, thus strengthening their credibility and their relationship with their end customers. Our partners also benefit from our technological and operational support. They can access our tools and solutions via SOPHIA, but remain in control of the customer relationship, which allows them to offer tailor-made offers.
“Whether integrators, resellers or regional specialists, everyone can choose from our catalog the services that best suit their local market”
This model promotes proximity with client companies while relying on a robust and centralized infrastructure. It also offers great flexibility for partners: Whether integrators, resellers or regional specialists, everyone can choose the services from our catalog that best suit their local market. This creates strong complementarity between our technological capabilities and their field expertise.
What will be your projects and ambitions for 2025?
For 2025, our priorities are clearly oriented towards innovation and international expansion. On a technological level, we are renewing our offers to meet the emerging needs of the market. This includes new UCaaS solutions and enriched collaborative tools, as well as a strengthening of our cybersecurity services to guarantee optimal protection for our customers. On the international level, we have the ambition to strengthen our presence in Europe. Currently, around 80% of our turnover is generated in France.
“We see Europe as a unified playing field, where every local market benefits from our seamless solutions. »
Our objective is to gradually balance this distribution, by accelerating our growth in countries such as Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands, where we are already established. We are also considering new acquisitions to integrate experienced local players, which will allow us to offer homogeneous offers while respecting the specificities of each market.
