The Swippitt looks like a toaster, but it won’t make you toast. Instead, it extends the battery life of your smartphone in seconds. Here’s how it works.
You are in the middle of a video call on your smartphone when you see the battery icon turn red. The problem is that you are far from finished, and you don’t have a nearby outlet to plug in the mobile. If only there was a way to recharge it very quickly, just by asking your interlocutor to wait 2 seconds… Imagine that it exists, but in a roundabout way.

It’s the company Swippitt which offers its solution with an eponymous product. What is immediately striking is of course its shape since it looks exactly like a toaster. And it works exactly as you would expect: you place your mobile in the slot, wait a bit and it comes out charged. Well, not the phone itself, but the special case, called Linkin which you previously placed it. Swippit will actually replace the battery contained in the latter.
This toaster extends the battery life of your smartphone in seconds
Inside the Swippitt, we find up to 5 batteries of 3,500 mAh each. When a smartphone equipped with the Link case is placed in the “toaster”, the battery is ejected through a slot then replaced with a full one. The operation is very quick, as you can see in the demonstration video below. Designed to be used by several people in a row, you only have to wait 4 seconds between each replacement.
-For now, the Link case is compatible with iPhone 14, 15 and 16. The idea is to extend this to as many smartphones as possible, as well iOS thatAndroid. The principle is ingenious, but innovation has a price. Count 500 dollars for the Swippitt and 120 for a case, i.e. environ 600 € in all. A free application allows you to monitor battery levels. If it’s too expensive for you, there is always the solution of the good old external battery.
