Copilot+ PCs are now available as desktop computers

To all honor, let’s get the ball rolling with Lenovowhich has the honor of being one of the first manufacturers to offer mini PCs equipped with the new Snapdragon X chip, presented this week by Qualcomm. Less powerful than its big sisters Plus and Elite, this chip also makes it possible to offer more affordable PCs, while naturally being compatible with Microsoft’s Copilot technologies.

Two models were unveiled during CES, the ThinkCentre neo 50q QC and Lenovo IdeaCentre Mini, but only the first is equipped with Snapdragon X (there is also a version with Snapdragon X Plus). The ThinkCentre neo is aimed more at the general public, while the IdeaCentre, equipped with a Snapdragon X Plus, is aimed more at professionals. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not gone so far as to reveal a price or availability date.

Let’s go now to HPwhich relies not on Qualcomm, but on Intel and AMD for its Copilot+PC…although the rollout of Windows 11 updates to achieve these AI features is far from complete for x86 computers. The manufacturer first presented the Z2 Mini G1a, a mini PC working with a Ryzen AI Max Plus Pro (yes, all that) that AMD launched on Monday.

The machine, which integrates its own power supply, supports up to 8 TB of storage and 128 GB of unified memory, and you can even choose the GPU: AMD Radeon 8040S, 8050S or 8060s. HP also has several all-in-ones in stock, this time equipped with an Intel chip (Core Ultra 200V). The 27-inch OmniStudio

Unfortunately, no price or availability date is attached to these PCs. But until they are released commercially, we can hope that they automatically include the Copilot functions.

Let’s end this overview with Acerwhich also unveiled mini PCs and all-in-ones. The Revo Box AI range works with an Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) chip with up to 32 GB of RAM. Prices for these boxes start at $800, they will be available in the second quarter.
