CES 2025: Segway renews its Ninebot range and launches an all-terrain model on the Belgian market

Segway used the CES fair to introduce a number of new electric scooters. Most models received improved suspension, a versatile navigation-ready smart display and a handy Airlock function. Completely new on the Belgian market is the ZT3 Pro I, an all-terrain scooter with which you can safely leave the paved paths.

Segway took advantage of the CES show to present a number of new electric scooters. Most models feature upgraded suspension, a versatile navigation-ready smart display, and a convenient Airlock feature. The ZT3 Pro I is completely new on the Belgian market. This is an all-terrain scooter with which you can leave the hard streets in complete safety.

Navigation function

The Ninebot E3, F3 and Max G3 models are particularly suitable for everyday use. They differ mainly by their autonomy (short, medium and long), their driving comfort (type of tire and suspension, traction control, S-ABS), their equipment and of course their price. With the new generation, the range of almost all models increases slightly, but the speed in our country remains limited to the legal 25 km/h.

The upgraded 2.4-inch smart display is getting a lot of attention on some new models. It not only displays the usual information such as battery status and scooter speed, but also call notifications from your smartphone. Later this year, a firmware update should also make the color screen ready for navigation, although it’s more of a relay for the navigation app on your smartphone. The advantage is that you will no longer need to place your phone in a holder on the handlebars. Segway plans to make this new feature chargeable, but the company has not yet been able or willing to mention the price.

AirLock

Also worth mentioning is Segway AirLock, a new Bluetooth-based system that unlocks the eKickScooter as soon as you approach it (with your smartphone). And if you don’t remember where you parked your two-wheeler, you can quickly find it using Apple’s Find My feature – although it’s only available to iPhone owners.

As mentioned, Segway will soon also present the ZT3 Pro I in Belgium. This all-terrain scooter intended for more adventurous rides had already been available in certain countries for several months, but a suitable model had to be developed for our country, because the cruciform lighting at the front did not comply with Belgian regulations.

The Ninebot Max G3 I will be launched in the first quarter of this year, and the other models will follow in the second quarter. Segway has not yet announced indicative prices for the new eKickScooters.
