More than a year after its release, players continue to discover hidden details in Baldur’s Gate 3. Recently, an unlikely interaction was found that turns out to be as surprising as it is morbid.
2023 was the year of Baldur’s Gate III. Released in the middle of summer,he title from Larian Studio quickly established itself as one of the best games of 2023, to the point of winning the title of Game of the Year at the Game Awards ceremony. It must be said that given the freedom granted to the players and the number of details taken into account, the result made everyone agree. While the title has now been out for more than a year, players think they have finished it for good… but the role-playing game proves that it still has hidden elements.

-Baldur’s Gate 3 and the attention to detail
It was on the Reddit dedicated to the game that the user u/Tadpole-Jackson shared his discovery. To put things in context: we are in chapter 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3, in the Temple of Shar in which we can meet Yurgir the Orthon. Right next to him is his throne which has the good taste of being entirely made up of corpses (we can’t imagine the smell). Faced with this monstrosity, Tadpole-Jackson had the good idea to cast the spell that allows you to speak to the dead… and it worked! And yes, the developers at Larian Studios even thought of this possibility and wrote dialogues if we want to speak with this abominable pile of flesh. As it turns out, the number of details in Baldur’s Gate 3 remains as impressive as ever, even a year after its release.
One year to polish the ending of BG3!
To achieve such a level of detail, you should know that Larian Studios took more time than you might imagine to refine their title. Recently, we remember that the Belgian studio declared that part of the team had spent a year working on the endings of the game so that they corresponded well to the players’ choices, that’s saying something! Clearly, this is also the result of the studio’s early access policy which allows the game to be improved thanks to player feedback and which had already proven itself with Divinity Original Sin.
