Gorilla Glas Armor 2 even more “powerful”
Over the past few years, each successive version of Gorilla Glass has primarily offered greater scratch and impact resistance. Gorilla Glass Armor took a big step forward by introducing another feature virtually overnight, namely a highly anti-reflective protective layer, which raised the bar for other smartphones. Recently, however, potential problems with the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s protective layer have been revealed, which could provide a starting point for improving the successor.
According to Ice Universe, the second generation of Gorilla Glass Armor – perhaps called Gorilla Glass Armor 2 – will be “even more powerful” and will once again have anti-reflective properties. However, it is not yet known in detail what the specific improvements will be. Regardless, the message indicates a feature that is exclusive to the Galaxy S25 Ultra and not available to competitors at the moment.
