One UI 7 will include support for the Camera Continuity feature which will allow you to use the Galaxy phone to take photos or scan documents and use them directly in Samsung Notes or Samsung Internet on another connected device. This function is similar to Continuity Camera from Apple, but with one important difference: Apple’s version integrates with any app, while Samsung’s seems limited to proprietary apps.
Mishaal Rahmanof Android Authoritydiscovered the Camera Continuity feature in the latest One UI 7 beta, although it is not yet fully operational. For this to work, devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, within Bluetooth range, and with the same Samsung account. Although this is what one might expect, for now, it is unknown if Samsung will extend this new feature to other applicationsbecause it currently only works with Samsung Notes and Samsung Internet.
The update will also bring other notable features, like the ability touse the Galaxy mobile camera as a webcam for a Galaxy Book or tablet. Something similar debuted in One UI 6.1.1 with the Galaxy S24 series, but this will now expand to more devices with the new version of the system.
Another novelty could be Storage Sharewhich will allow Explore phone files wirelessly from a Galaxy laptop or tablet. With these improvements, Samsung continues to consolidate its ecosystem and offer alternatives to compete directly with Apple.
