Unfortunately, there won't be a Nintendo Switch 2 under our Christmas tree. On the other hand, the most anticipated console of recent years will be present next year. We warn you in advance that you will have to leave space because if Final Fantasy 9 will probably be present at the launch of the console, other games will accompany it.
The Switch faces enormous challenges
With the release of its future console, Nintendo is preparing to climb a mountain. If its big sister had had to move on after the flop of the Wii U, the Switch 2 must go up against one of the best-selling consoles of all time. The stakes are therefore enormous for Big N which, although we do not yet have an official release date, must prepare as best as possible for the announcement which should arrive during the first quarter of 2025.
Nevertheless, several reasons suggest that the future of the Switch 2 will be bright. The latest rumors are rather encouraging with sales estimates for 2025 alone between 15 and 17 million, which would beat the 15.5 million copies sold for the first Switch. One of the reasons for this success could come from the future line-up of the console which, according to the latest information, would be prodigious.
A substantial line-up for the Switch 2
The launch of the first Switch was a resounding success, if not legendary. With The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild At the head of the gondola, the Nintendo console could only launch perfectly. However, don't panic, everything suggests that the Switch 2 will do just as well.
Samus Hunter, a very well-known insider in the Nintendo sphere having notably announced the port of Xenoblade Chronicles X on Switch a day before the Japanese firm, is confident about the Switch 2 line-up. According to him, we should expect a launch as qualitative as that of the first Switchor even more. Indeed, the launch would be packed with third party games ready for release, which was not the case before. Third-party publishers would be particularly eager to see the Nintendo console, information which would confirm, if it is real, that concerning the power of the Switch 2.
Nintendo is the hottest manufacturer at the moment. In 2025, this may not change given the promises of their new console. The Switch 2 will probably confirm Big N's good form, especially if third-party publishers are interested in the machine.
