OnePlus Pad Go test: an accessible tablet that has no shortage of advantages

The OnePlus Pad Go is equipped with a single 8 megapixel (Mpx) photo sensor on the back, flanked by wide-angle optics. Although photography is not the primary purpose of tablets, it helps to enrich the user experience by making it more complete.

Module principal : 8 Mpx

The Pad Go delivers very respectable daytime shots thanks to good detail management and accentuation of contours, allowing small elements to be highlighted. Although this approach may be slightly exaggerated, it provides overall satisfactory sharpness. The colorimetry, for its part, is quite natural, while most competitors deliver fairly saturated images.

However, this fidelity drops significantly in low light. In addition to a marked orange cast, the photos are covered with visible digital noise. Despite the software smoothing applied to reduce these imperfections, and making the whole thing just acceptable for use on social networks, the shots remain quite blurry.

Front module, video

The device integrates a front camera with an identical definition of 8 Mpx, centered for use in landscape mode, suitable for video calls and capable of filming in 1080p at 30 fps with slight noise in the dark. At the rear, recordings also cap at 1080p 30 fps and the lack of optical stabilization limits the fluidity of moving videos.
