PS5: we explain how to enjoy an optimal experience
Sometimes you need to know the settings of your video game consoles to benefit from the best possible visual rendering. This is the case with the PS5, equipped with an option which considerably improves the rendering of your games, provided it is activated. Simply look for the “deep color” option in your TV’s HDMI settings and enable it. Please note, the option could have another name depending on the brand of your TV.

HDMI 2.2 will arrive in January 2025
While the 2.1 standard was validated in 2017 by the HDMI Forum consortium, it is the turn of HDMI 2.2 to appear from January 2025. It will be presented at the major Tech show in Las Vegas. We already know that it works with a new cable and that it will have better speed than its predecessor. The new standard will also allow a wider variety of resolutions and offer better refresh rates.

Our tests of the week
Shark PowerDetect Clean & Empty IP3251EUT: power and versatility for 450 euros
Shark's new stick vacuum cleaner will convince you with its suction power, its ease of use despite its weight, its versatility and its efficient and practical docking station. We were also pleasantly surprised by the warranty policy and the availability of spare parts. We would have appreciated better autonomy and less noise. Be careful, the Shark PowerDetect Clean & Empty gets dirty quickly.

Dell Inspiron 14 Plus: very good value for money
Dell offers here a particularly beautiful ultraportable which combines very solid autonomy, remarkable office power and good AI calculation capacity, for a fair price of 1000 euros. We regret the numerous software incompatibilities, the soldered RAM and the limited power of the graphics chip. Also note that the Inspiron 14 Plus heats up a lot for an ARM SoC.

Sony Bravia 7: a very good television for movies and video games
During our test, we were won over by the sober design of the Bravia 7, but also by its ultra-complete interface, its varied connectivity and its well-respected colorimetry. The remote control is modern and we really appreciate the complementarity with the PlayStation 5. The price is not always justified, in particular because of the average audio experience and the reflections that are far too present on the screen.
