Silicon Valley icon and co-founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak has been an entrepreneur for over 40 years in the technology sector. Alex Fielding, meanwhile, is an experienced leader and innovator, having held senior positions at companies including Apple and Exodus Communications and co-founded Wheels of Zeus and Ripcord.

Together with the scientific director, Dr Moriba Jah, they are now fully dedicated to their latest project: Privateer.

Privateer was launched with the mission of protecting the space environment, which in turn contributes to sustainable development on Earth. As orbital trajectories above our planet become increasingly crowded, Privateer data provides real-time, open-access mapping of all the satellites and human-made debris surrounding Earth.

Our world depends on space infrastructure and this attention to sustainability must allow operators to operate safely and efficiently, thus guaranteeing the development of the space economy.

Omega’s long history in space exploration dates back to 1962. Its Speedmaster watches have been worn by astronauts on every moon landing in history and, even today, the brand continues to play a major role in humanity’s exploration of the unknown.

It is therefore natural that the association between Omega and Privateer began in 2022, thus strengthening its space commitment.
