Vivo’s mid-range lineup can be a bit confusing. A few days ago, the company launched the Y300 in India, equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. Today, a new version of the same model is available in China. This is a completely different phone, equipped with a mid-range MediaTek SoC.

To be more precise, this new Vivo Y300 is equipped with the Dimensity 6300, which is associated with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. However, the SoC isn’t the only thing that differs. The design is also different, making it very similar to the x200 from the rear.

In this regard, while it may seem like the back has a quad-camera setup, it actually has a dual-camera setup like its Pro sibling. The main camera is a 50-megapixel sensor, paired with a 2-megapixel portrait sensor. As for the front, the new Vivo Y300 has an 8 MP selfie sensor.

Another strong point of the new Vivo Y300 is its battery. Like its Pro sibling, it has a large 6,500 mAh battery. It supports fast charging at 44 watts (85-watt Cuktech 15 Power Bank, currently $44.99 at Amazon), and the company says it allows the mid-range phone to offer up to up to 25 hours of continuous video playback.

The phone also features what Vivo calls a “super speaker” system. It’s essentially a three-speaker system, designed to deliver a high-resolution audio listening experience. Other highlights of the new Y300 include a 6.77-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, support for LDAC and aptX HD, and OriginOS 5.

As for the price, the new Vivo Y300 is priced starting at CNY 1,399 (approximately $192), while the high-end variant with maximum storage and RAM is priced at CNY 1,999 (approximately $192). $274). We don’t yet know when and if the Vivo Y300 will be released worldwide.
