Alan Wake 2 is one of the many games improved for the new PS5 Pro from Sonyintroducing the ray tracing thanks to a mode Quality at 30 fps or allowing you to play at 60 fps with a rendering similar to the mode Quality of the PlayStation 5. Today, Remedy Entertainment publishes an update to improve the experience on the PS5 Probut not only that.
The developers have released patch 1.2.7 ofAlan Wake 2 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, in order to add a new graphics mode and fix issues on PS5 Pro. Here are the new features and changes brought by this update:

- [PS5 Pro] Added a new “Balanced” graphics mode. This mode requires compatible displays that can reach a refresh rate of 120Hz. Balanced mode combines the PS5 Pro Quality mode settings, including ray tracing, with the resolution of Performance mode. This mode targets 40 fps.
- [PS5 Pro] Slightly adjusted visual settings of Performance mode to achieve a more consistent frame rate.
- [PS5 Pro] Quality and Balanced mode: ray tracing parameters adjusted to obtain an image with less noise.
- [PS5 Pro] Added an option to enable/disable PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution).
Fixes
- [The Lake House] Fixed handwritten collectibles showing the wrong page in Saga’s Mind Palace.
- [The Lake House] Fixed no audio in the “Welcome to the Lake House” collectible video.
- Minor fixes and optimizations.
