All TikTok users know how to scroll from video to video, go to a profile to discover a creator or publish new content on their own account. On the other hand, there are some relatively little-known features capable of improving your experience on the ByteDance application. In particular, it is possible to open TikTok without sound. Know that you can also activate a mobile data saver in a particularly simple way so as not to see your data envelope melt like snow in the sun. We will explain the procedure to follow to do this.
How to enable mobile data saver on TikTok
Activating the mobile data saver on TikTok allows, as the name of the function suggests, to consume much less data when you are not connected to a Wi-Fi network. Very useful for those who can spend very long minutes of scrolling through the app without even realizing it. VHere’s how to enable data saver on TikTok:
- Open the application and go to your profile in the menu bar, on the far right

TikTok tells you that the data saver can reduce the resolution of the videos viewed and slow down their loading. A necessary sacrifice if you are a heavy consumer or have a limited data envelope (or both). Of course, you don’t have to do this when you’re connected to a private or public Wi-Fi network.
Remember that a Normal use of TikTok consumes on average 0.84 GB of data per hour, more than Facebook or Instagram. High resolution videos consume more data, which is why the saver lowers their quality. If you don’t have an internet connection at all, you can also watch videos offline on TikTok.
