An incredible scene was recently immortalized during the bad weather that hit Thailand.

Torrential monsoon rains have recently fallen on Malaysia and southern Thailand, causing devastating and deadly floods. Although it is still too early to establish an official assessment, we already know that the rising waters caused the death of at least 25 people on Thai territory, according to local authorities.

In all, more than 300,000 households were directly affected, directly or indirectly, by this disaster, which caused considerable material damage.

These floods have sometimes given rise to incredible scenes, such as in the Thai province of Pattani, where a giant snake was seen at the bend of a submerged street. In any case, this is what local sources say, relayed by the Indian site The Indian Express.

Giant python eats dog during flood, Thailand

This reticulated python, approximately 6 meters long, was filmed emerging from the water like a sea monster, in a flooded artery. As can be seen in the images below, the reptile appears to have a crowded and disproportionate body. This swollen appearance is believed to be due to absorption from an animal. Several witnesses claim that the snake ate a… dog shortly before.

Widely relayed, the video of this giant python quickly went viral on social networks, reaching 2 million views.

As a reminder, reticulated pythons are constrictor snakes – the largest species in the world. They generally measure between 4 and 9 meters long and weigh between 90 and 140 kilos.
