Lenovo Laptop With Ryzen AI 9 365 “Strix Point” Appears In Geekbench Benchmark

Lenovo is working on a laptop powered by the Ryzen AI 9 365. This system was spotted in Geekbench tests. The Ryzen AI 9 365 processor is a variant of Strix Point with 4 Zen5 cores and 6 Zen5c cores, reaching up to 5.0 GHz. The benchmark results show scores of 2544 points in single-core and 12,745 points in multi-core. The laptops powered by the Ryzen AI 9 365 are expected to hit the market in late July.

Another day, another benchmark. Today, they have the Ryzen AI 9 365 APU, a 10-core version of Strix Point. This processor features 4 Zen5 cores and 6 Zen5c cores, with a maximum boost frequency of up to 5.0 GHz (although AMD has not yet confirmed the frequencies for the dense cores).

The detailed benchmark results show that the CPU was running at 4.43 GHz for most of the test. This could be an average between the larger and smaller cores, as Geekbench doesn’t seem to be optimized to detect both core types, unlike Intel’s heterogeneous architectures.

New benchmark results show that the CPU achieves 2544 points in the single-core test and 12,745 points in the multi-core test. These values are lower than expected, likely due to the laptop not being optimized or power limited. Strix Point APUs now cover TDP segments from 15 to 54W, allowing laptop manufacturers to set the default TDP as they wish. Unfortunately, this indicates that we do not know the exact TDP for this test.

Based on the leaked test results, it’s safe to say that individual SKUs could offer significantly different scores. While the exact impact of TDP on these scores remains unclear, it may become necessary for laptop manufacturers to include TDP information alongside the SKU. Even more so, as the upcoming Ryzen AI 300 series will combine the U, HS, and HX variants into a single offering, simplifying the lineup.

Early reports suggest that laptops powered by the Ryzen AI 9 365 won’t hit the market until late July. Lenovo hasn’t unveiled its Strix Point laptops yet, but announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
