July 2024 has arrived and gamers are about to experience a mixed start to the video game summer. While the lack of big AAA blockbusters will disappoint some, the diversity of titles on offer should satisfy all tastes.
July isn’t usually the month with the most major video game releases, but this year, there’s still plenty to keep you busy. Between the return of cult licenses and the arrival of little gems, there’s bound to be something to do between two trips to the beach.
July 2024 video game releases: a selection of titles to watch
For those feeling nostalgic, this month is marked by the return of several iconic franchises. MMORPG fans will be able to dive back into the world of Final Fantasy XIV with the extension Dawntrailavailable since July 2 on PC and PlayStation consoles.
Fans of fighter plane games will find the thrill of aerial combat with Ace Combat 7, which is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 11. Same goes for Ninja Turtles fans, who will be able to relive the adventures of their favorite heroes in Splintered Fatealso coming to Switch on July 17.
But these aren’t the only titles to watch in July. promising new licenses are also making their appearance. This is the case of The First Descendantand Warframe-like available today on PC and consoles, which will immerse you in an action-packed sci-fi world.
Lovers of psychedelic adventure gamesdon’t miss Anger Footscheduled for July 11 on PC. Fans of exploration and dungeon crawler games will be filled with Dungeons of Hinterberg et Flintlock: The Siege of Dawntwo titles expected on PC and consoles on July 18.
