Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 7 Ultra: main features …

With just a few days to go before Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris on July 10, a reveal from French site Deallabs details the full specifications of the new Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra smartwatches.

The Galaxy Watch 7, whose general design is based on that of the Watch 6, will be available in two sizes, 40 mm and 44 mm, and three case colors: green, cream and silver. It will have an aluminum case, a sapphire crystal on the front and a 3D Glass dial on the back. It will be available in Bluetooth and Bluetooth + 4G versions for use completely independent of the phone.

Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra available in one (large) size

The Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra, a true new addition to the range, will be available in a single 47mm size, and three case colours: titanium grey/orange, titanium silver/black, titanium white/white. It will be Bluetooth and 4G compatible and will have the same sapphire and 3D glass as the Galaxy Watch 7, but with a titanium case.

Both watches feature a Super AMOLED display, an Exynos W1000 processor. They have 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. That’s double the storage space of the Galaxy Watch 6. There’s a difference in battery for the three sizes. The 40mm and 44mm options for the Watch 7 have a 300mAh and 425mAh battery respectively, while the 47mm Watch 7 Ultra has the larger 590mAh battery.

All watches will have IP6X dust protection, but the Galaxy Ultra has a slightly higher water resistance rating of 10 ATM compared to 5 ATM for the Galaxy Watch 7.

The rest of the specifications are identical across the range: Bluetooth 5.3, 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, NFC, dual-frequency GPS (L1+L5) and One UI Watch 6.0 for the operating system. The array of sensors is classic: GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo; light and geomagnetic sensor; accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer; BioActive, temperature and heart rate sensors; microphone and speaker.

According to Deallabs, the prices of the two watches for France would not increase.
